Because of increasing pressure on wild populations of Goldenseal and the rising cost of Goldenseal per pound ($325 per lbs, wholesale!), we use only grown-without-chemicals, cultivated plants, and combine it with the other berberine-containing plants. We had to raise the price of this tincture formula because of the cost of the Goldenseal root. It is a large percentage of the tincture formula.
